Pursuing Kids
- God’s Kids/Not Our Kids.
- Proverbs 16:9 (ESV) The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.
- “A parent may plan the path of their kids, but the LORD directs their steps.”
- Hebrews 3:4 (NIV) Every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
- Our Problem…Sin Exposure?
- Average age of internet exposure to pornography is 11 years old.
- 14,000 acts of intercourse or sexual innuendos every year in primetime TV
- 90% of kids 13-17 years old report having social media accounts and using them at least twice daily.
- Our Problem…Sin Corruption.
- Corrupt – To become tainted or rotten; to alter from the original or correct version.
- Our kids don’t need to be hidden from sin, they need to be saved from it.
- Romans 3:10-13 (NLT) As the scriptures say, No one is righteous-not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.
- The Resolution.
- True Obedience flows out of a love for Christ.
- A love for Christ can only come when a person sees how much they have already been loved.
- 1 John 4:19 (ESV) We love because He first Loved Us.

- The more you see God’s Grace for YOU, the easier it is to give to others.
- Look to Jesus so you can Point to Jesus
- Every moment of SIN can be a life-changing opportunity to show God’s Grace and Forgiveness.
- Every struggle with SIN can be a life-changing moment to teach them to rely on God’s grace.
