HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

My Spouse…

Colossians 3:18-19 (MSG) 18 Wives, understand and support your husbands by submitting to them in ways that honor the Master. 19 Husbands, go all out in love for your wives. Don’t take advantage of them.

Ask yourself:

  • Where am I today in my relationship with God?
  • What is one specific step I can take to grow closer to Him this week?

Soul Tattoo: A healthy relationship with God transforms how we trust, love, and walk through life.

Ask yourself and your spouse:

  • Where am I today in my relationship with my spouse?
  • What is one specific step I can take to grow closer to my spouse this week?

Soul Tattoo: Marriage is hard work.

1. A healthy marriage is built on Christ as the foundation.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV) 12Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

A Christ-centered marriage is a stormproof marriage.

2. Strong communication is the lifeline of a thriving marriage.

Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) 29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Great marriages don’t happen by accident; they happen by intentional communication.

3. Grace and forgiveness are the glue that holds a marriage together.

Colossians 3:13 (NIV) 13Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

A marriage filled with grace never runs out of love.

A healthy marriage isn’t built in a day—it’s built daily.

Take time this week to:

1. Pray together: Invite Christ into your marriage.

2. Prioritize communication: Have a heart-to-heart conversation about how you can improve as a couple.

3. Practice grace: Choose to forgive, let go of past hurts, and extend kindness.

At Home Discussion Questions:

1. Christ at the Center: What are some practical ways we can keep Christ at the center of our marriage?

2. Communication & Connection: What is one thing I can do this week to become a better listener in our marriage?

3. Grace & Forgiveness: Is there any area where I need to extend grace or seek forgiveness from my spouse?
