YOU ASKED FOR IT: Time Management

  • What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor (a puff of smoke, a mist) that is visible for a little while and then disappears [into thin air]. – James 4:14 AMPC
  • Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God]. – Proverbs 29:18 AMPC
  • We [expectantly] hope for light, but only see darkness; we hope for gleam of light, but we walk in darkness and gloom. We grope for a wall like the blind, we grope like those who have no eyes. We stumble at midday as in the twilight; among those who are healthy we are like dead men. – Isaiah 59:9b-10 AMPC

God’s  Vision and Plan of Action for your life will lessen your stress and bring health to your body and soul”

Soul Tattoo: God’s way, not your way, is the best way

  • The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.  – Psalms 19:7 AMPC
  • But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. – Matthew 6:33 AMPC

Action Steps:  Disciplines /  Habits / Practices

  • Vision without a task is just a dream
  • Task without a vision is drudgery
  • Vision with a task is the hope of the world.

MY VISION vs GOD’S VISION

MY STEPS vs GOD’S STEPS

  1. Steps you must take to choose God’s way.
    1. Change your thoughts
      • Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.  And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. (Romans 12:1-3 AMPC
    2. Change your beliefs
      • But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. – Hebrews 11:6 AMPC)
    3. Change your behaviors
      • So get rid of all uncleanness and all that remains of wickedness, and with a humble spirit receive the word [of God] which is implanted [actually rooted in your heart], which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].  (James 1:21-22 AMPC
      • But someone may say, “You [claim to] have faith and I have [good] works; show me your [alleged] faith without the works [if you can], and I will show you my faith by my works [that is, by what I do].”  You believe that God is one; you do well [to believe that]. The demons also believe [that], and shudder and bristle [in awe-filled terror—they have seen His wrath]! But are you willing to recognize, you foolish [spiritually shallow] person, that faith without [good] works is useless? – James 2:18-20 AMPC
      • Our offering to God is this: We are the sweet smell of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are being lost. – 2 Corinthians 2:15 NCV
