Let’s Talk About It
Standing Strong in a Crumbling World

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” – Matthew 7:24-27 ESV

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” – Martin Luther King Jr

5 Action Steps to Standing Strong

  1. Anchor Yourself in God’s Word

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105 ESV

  1. Surround Yourself with Godly Community

“Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.” – Hebrews 10:24-25 TPT

  1. Seek Wisdom and Discernment

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” – James 1:5 ESV

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” – Corrie ten Boom

  1. Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

“We are surrounded by a great cloud of people whose lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way and the sin that so easily holds us back. Let us look only to Jesus, the One who began our faith and who makes it perfect. He suffered death on the cross. But he accepted the shame as if it were nothing because of the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne.” – Hebrews 12:1-2 NCV

  1. Live with Unwavering Faith

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” – Hebrews 11:1 NIV

“Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.” – Helen Keller

“A scared world needs a fearless church.” – A.W. Tozer
