ALL IN
Character

What do you think of when I say all in? The word means COMPLETELY COMMITTED TO

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NLT) “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope… If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

Matthew 22:37 (NLT) 37 Jesus replied, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’

Soul Tattoo: Our God is an all-in God, and He has empowered us to be all-in people.

I’ll never get the best of what God has to offer until I give God my best.

“A part-time Christian can’t overcome a full-time devil.”

Galatians 4:19 (NLT) 19Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.

 LEGACY of  Character:

Introduction to Character:

Character is what you do when no one is there to tell you to “STOP”.

Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Philippians 2:5-7 (NIV) 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

“When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost.” – Billy Graham

1. The Foundation of Character: Integrity

Proverbs 10:9 (NIV) Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.

Compliance is external, character is internal.

2. The Growth of Character: Perseverance

Romans 5:3-4 (NIV) Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

3. The Fruit of Character: Love

Colossians 3:12-14 (NIV) Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

“Reputation is what men and women think of us; character is what God and angels know of us.” – Thomas Paine

On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest…

1.) How do I believe my character is?

2.) How would my spouse say that my character is?

3.) How would my friends say that my character is?

4.) How would those on my job say that my character is?

5.) How would God say that my character is?

“What if I have lost my character?”

“Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an act, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost.” – Billy Graham
