WHAT TO EXPECT AT DESTINATION CHURCH

We love seeing new faces at Destination Church!

Our parking team will assist you with parking when you arrive, and our hospitality team will help ensure that you are given a worship guide and feel welcome as you enter the building. Free coffee is available, as well as a photowall to celebrate and mark the occasion.

Our Connections Table is available if you have any questions, or you can find one of our many amazing volunteers close by. We begin service with uplifting worship music, followed by a quick video with announcements and more information.

Then, Lead Pastor Rodney Thrift will share a special Easter message, followed by a chance to pray, receive prayer, or take communion at one of the four lit up crosses around the room. Members of our prayer team will be available to talk to you or pray, as well.

FAQs

How long will the service be?

Each service is about 70 minutes long.

*The 9:45am service is always the fullest, so we recommend coming to the 8:00am or 11:30am service if this is your first time.

What should I wear?

We don’t believe what you wear is important. You will likely see every style of dress from dress suits and nice dresses to jeans and t-shirts. As long as you are dressed modestly, you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Will my kids be safe?

We have several security measures in place to keep your kids safe and so you can have peace of mind to focus on the service.

  • Our kids entrance is monitored by a member of our DC Kids team and locked at the beginning of each service.
  • You will be given a check-in sticker when your child(ren) is/are checked in, and only the person with that sticker will be able to pick up your child(ren) from their classroom. There is also a code on your security sticker that corresponds to your child(ren). If your attention is needed at any point during the service, that code will be displayed on the screens in the main sanctuary. A member of the DC Kids team will be waiting for you at the rear doors of the main sanctuary.
  • In addition, our trained security team maintains a heavy presence in the children’s hallways to ensure a safe environment, and law enforcement personnel are present on location to respond to any potential threat.
  • Each of our DC Kids leaders are trained to maintain a safe, healthy environment inside each classroom, with strict protocols to avoid 1-on-1 situations or unauthorized entry into the classrooms.

Where should I park?

If you have children, you are welcome to use our DC Kids entrance facing Ware Street. Just follow the DC Kids Check-In signs to the left once you turn off of the street.

For general parking, our parking team will help guide you to a parking spot, and we have a golf cart available to shuttle you to the front doors. If you need any assistance or have any special needs, please feel free to speak to a parking team member and they will be happy to assist you.
