“When it’s healthy, the local church is the most resource rich environment on the planet. It’s the place where people from every background, every generation, every cultural and ethnic heritage, every diverse skill and ability come together to form a family.” (Pastor Jeff Little, Milestone Church, Book, The Way to Win)

Worship God
Psalm 149:1-9 (ESV) 1Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! 2 Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King! 3 Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre! 4 For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. 5 Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands, 7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, 9 to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the Lord!
SOUL TATTOO: Worship is a passion for God’s presence. Praise is calling attention to God’s glory.

“Worship includes (1) praise; (2) proclamation; i.e., lips that confess His name; (3) service, which means doing good as a demonstration of the Gospel to the world; (4) participation, which means sharing with others as a demonstration of grace to the world; (5) sacrifice, the giving of time, talent and treasure; and (6) submission, i.e., respecting Godly authority placed over us so that we can grow in wisdom and holiness.” (Mark Driscoll and Gerry Breshears, Doctrine: What Christians Should Believe)
Praise: To praise God is to call attention to His glory. Bless, exalt, extol, glorify, magnify, thank, and confess.
